Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

This policy explains what Clksy (clksy.com) collects, why, and how it’s handled — both for builders (people with Clksy accounts) and visitors (people who chat with an embedded assistant).

What we collect from builders

  • Account data: your email, name, and a hashed password (we never store passwords in plain text).
  • Engine content: the instructions, knowledge sources, and settings you add to your engines.
  • Provider API keys: stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and used only to operate your engines. We never display them back or share them.
  • Billing status: subscription events from our payment processor (Pabbly). We don’t receive or store your card details.

What we collect from visitors

  • Conversations: messages sent to an embedded assistant are stored so the engine’s owner can review them and so conversations can continue across messages.
  • A random visitor identifier stored in your browser (localStorage), used to count unique visitors — it contains no personal details.
  • Theme preference (light/dark), stored in your browser.

Don’t share sensitive personal information in a chat. Conversations are visible to the owner of the assistant you’re talking to.

How content is processed

To generate responses, conversation messages and relevant excerpts of the builder’s knowledge base are sent to AI providers (Anthropic for responses, Voyage AI for content indexing, ScreenshotOne when a screenshot tool is used) — using the builder’s own API keys where applicable. Those providers process data under their own privacy policies.

Where data lives

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers: Neon (database) and Netlify (hosting), in US data centers. Cookies are limited to a login session cookie for builders; we run no advertising trackers.

Sharing

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the service providers named above as needed to run Clksy, or if required by law.

Retention and deletion

Engines, knowledge sources, and conversations persist until the owner deletes them (deleting an engine removes its content and conversations). To delete your account and everything in it, email support@clksy.com from your account address.

Changes

We’ll post updates here with a new “last updated” date.
